Nucksal's "Earning My Keep" in Translation

My mom and the bowl of rice watch me

I can’t eat more than two bites.

What’s the cost of the food that’s always waiting for me, win or lose, when I turn the cold doorknob and come inside?

What’s the cost of that cold room? Lights off, winter, in a far-off land. Working at his dreams alone in his room. What is the cost of his aspiration?

What’s the cost of the world that doesn’t care whether I win or lose? Or the food on my table every morning?
