In NYC? Consider This Workshop

This Thursday, November 14, the English Language Arts Committee of the UFT will be hosting a workshop on deepening students' reading, writing, thinking, and collaboration:

Educational expert and noted author, Alan Dichter, will share strategies from his newest book “Protocols in the Classroom.” Join with colleagues from across the city as we consider how to support each other in a journey toward excellence and equity for all. Bring ideas or just yourself. Your contribution is your humanity. Prepare to think differently.

• The event is free but RSVPing is preferred (so that we have enough refreshments).
• A full menu of complimentary light refreshments will be served.
• We make decisions by consensus so by joining us, a teacher takes an active role in teacher leadership.
• We are also always looking for teachers who might want to share "best practice" and present at future committee meetings.
